Trail & Enduro Bikes

As we are located in the wilds of Wales at the southern end of the Cambrian Mountains and to the north of the Brecon Beacon National Park It gives us access to huge areas for trail riding, with many varied off-road trails with a minimum of tarmac.

GUIDING
As the area is so huge and the trails long and remote we offer guiding. Clive and his colleagues are available to lead you and give you the best days ride in the area. A guide costs £180 per day for up to 8 people and £20.00 per person over the 8. You may join others and share or have a guide to yourselves. We do not recommend more than 10 to a group.

Many guests are concerned that their riding may not be up to the standard of the guide and that they may be too slow. That does not matter, the guide is there for you he rides at the speed of the slowest rider and will even stop for photos if asked.

BIKE HIRE & OTHER GUIDED RIDES

ENDURO & OFF ROAD CIRCUIT
At the farm we have 50 acres about half of which is on a very steep hill where we have made an Enduro Circuit, we also have a Quad Trail and a 4x4 off road driving area. There are also Trial runs available. The Enduro circuit is interesting and may be used for a fee of £5.00 per bike per day.

FACILITIES
We are well geared up for off road drivers and riders and have recently improved the facilities at the farm to offer more secure storage and a better undercover workshop facility. There is also a pressure washer to wash away the Welsh mud, and a drying room for wet clothes. For further information on the accommodation available please visit www.cambrianway.com

Other facilities available on the farm include: Mountain Bike Hire, Enduro Bike Course, Trials Bike Course, 4x4 off road Course, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Fishing, Quad Bike Trekking, Map Room, Small Lake, Local Walks and Laundry facilities.

LOCATION, MAPS and TRAIL INFORMATION
We are located at Map Ref, SN 808 429 on Ordnance Survey Maps. Landranger 147 Elan Valley, 160 Brecon Beacon or Explorer 187. There is a map room at the farm with all the trails marked up on full size laminated master maps, showing the rights of way in the area. There is a selection of maps available for sale.

We have knowledge of most of the trails and will gladly give you a briefing. It is very important that you only go where you are allowed.

The Illegal use of private land gives us very big problems and is the very thing that will cause the trails to be closed. ABUSE IT - WE LOSE IT!

THE TRAILS

The Gap Road

I believe that this is the highest trail in England and Wales. It climbs high in the Brecon Beacon National Park right over the Brecon Beacon Range itself. It is closed all year to vehicles except for the month of March and from the 1st September to 15th October

Because of the popularity of this trail we are often full for every weekend when it is open. However as there is such demand we are offering our special offer of three nights (Sunday to Thursday) Dinner, Bed and Breakfast with no charge for accommodation on the 3rd night, that is a saving of £26.00 per person. Guiding is available everyday if required.

Strata Florida - The Cambrian Circuit - 102 miles

Famous circuit with nine river crossings, high, through miles of nothing, navigation skills required. very good value.

Brecon Beacons - 82 - 136 miles

Massive area with famous trails like Sarn Helen, Motel hill, the Roman road and the chance to ride through the Sennybridge military area. Our guides have lots of experience and recommendations on other locations. Guiding is a good idea to get the most out of the day.
